Kraamcentrum Echt
Marzia
Hi there!
I’m Marzia, born in 1990 and living in the charming town: Echt. After working for 14 years in the world of tourism and fashion, I decided at the beginning of 2022 to take a new direction and follow a different passion.
Since May 2022, I have been working at Kraamcentrum Echt as a maternity nurse, and I must say: this truly feels like my calling! I love guiding and supporting new parents during that special first week. And if you’re lucky, you might get a taste of my cooking skills too! I enjoy preparing delicious, homemade meals – perfect for a little extra pampering during the postpartum period.
I’m really looking forward to creating a beautiful, warm, and cozy start together. Hopefully, see you soon!
Warm regards,
Marzia
Jennifer
Hi there!
I’m Jennifer, and since July 2021, I’ve been part of the wonderfully warm and friendly team at Kraamcentrum Echt!
During my training as a Nursing Assistant (IG), I discovered that maternity care is truly my calling. There’s nothing more rewarding than supporting and guiding families through childbirth and the postpartum period – I do this with great love and enthusiasm!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on fun outings, and creating special moments together.
Hopefully, see you soon! Let’s make it a cozy, special, and unforgettable week together!
Warm regards,
Jennifer X
Dannique
Hi there!
I’m Dannique, born in 1999 and a proud mom to a little daughter. My own experience with maternity care – a week I’ll never forget! – inspired me to join Kraamcentrum Echt. Now, I have the opportunity to help others during that special first week.
My mission? To ensure that new parents feel completely cared for and step into parenthood with confidence. I’m here to support you, answer all your questions, and make the week as pleasant and relaxing as possible. A memory you’ll look back on with a big smile!
Hope to see you soon!
Warm regards,
Dannique
Tanja
Dear parents,
My name is Tanja!
In 2017, I started as a maternity nurse at this fantastic company. After a brief foray into another field, I’m right back, but now as an office planner (with just as much enthusiasm!). So if you call us, chances are you’ll get me on the line – lucky you! 😉
I love hearing brand-new mums and dads and making sure a warm, sweet maternity nurse comes your way. Every day is a new challenge for me, a puzzle of a thousand pieces that I get to solve – and that’s exactly what makes my job so much fun!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Love,
Tanja
Jolanda
Hello I am Jolanda,
I live in Belgium and I am married . Have 2 sons and 2 bonus daughters . So a cosy bunch. We are also already spoilt with 3 beautiful grandsons.
Working in maternity is my passion. To guide and support the families where needed, so they can look back on one of the most beautiful moments in their lives with a nice feeling.
Who knows, I might come and do the same for you.
Kind regards
Jolanda
Brigitte
Hi, my name is Brigitte,
I’ve been happy with my boyfriend for a long time now, and together we have a cosy mess at home: three fantastic daughters as well as two more bonus children (a son and a daughter). So yes, it’s always a cosy hustle and bustle!
After a career switch (with Kraamcentrum Echt as my backing and support), I have enjoyed working in maternity care since 2021. There, I was given the space to learn at my own pace and feel completely at home in the profession. What I love most is guiding new parents through those first, exciting days. My goal? That you can start as a family full of confidence after the maternity week.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking and the peace of not having too much fuss. No fuss, just relax!
Who knows, see you soon!
Love, Brigitte
Sandra
Hello there!
I’m Sandra! I started in maternity care at 21, and now, many years (and babies!) later, I’m still there – and with at least as much fun!
Over the years, I have gathered quite a lot of experience and useful tips, which I lovingly share with families. Every time, I find it an honour to be present at the birth and discover their own rhythm together with the brand-new parents in that first, special week. Because let’s face it, every family is unique, and it’s always a treat to find together what works best for you.
And as if I’m not busy enough between childbirths, I also supervise apprentices. That means passing on even more love for maternity care – and yes, I do that too with a big smile!
Hope to see you soon in a maternity week full of warmth, humour and a few handy Sandra tips!
Love,
Sandra
Laura
Hi hi!
I’m Laura, born in 1989 and living in Sittard together with my husband and our little son Lucas, who was born in 2023. So besides being a maternity nurse, I am now also the proud mum of a little ‘Sjattepoemel’ of my own!
My passion for maternity care started at a young age, and after my very first internship I knew for sure: this is really my place. I have been working in maternity care since 2008, and since 2014 I have enjoyed being part of the team at Kraamcentrum Echt.
Every time again, it is an honour to be able to assist brand-new parents, big brothers and sisters, and of course the little one in that first, magical week. It remains special to prepare a family for the adventure they are about to embark on themselves.
In my spare time, you can find me at the gym – sometimes at my husband zumba class, and we also dance salsa together (yes, always a party with us!).
Who knows, see you soon, and we’ll make it a great maternity week!
Love,
Laura
Nicole
My name is Nicole,
I was born in Slenaken and live in Limbricht. I have a lovely husband and 2 wonderful daughters who I am very proud of.
Since 2018, I can also call myself the proudest grandmother of our granddaughter.
I am also very proud of my work. I was very young when I was on a maternity visit to acquaintances with my mother and saw a maternity nurse in action.
From then on, I shouted that maternity assistant was going to be my profession!
Fortunately, my dream has come true and I work with great passion in ‘my’ families. It is wonderful to pamper families with their babies.
families with their babies. And to see that after the maternity week, the families are ready to go it alone.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking our dog in the area where I grew up.
Maybe we’ll see you soon,
Esther
Hi all,
My name is Esther, proud mother of two daughters and working in maternity care since 1989.
I have been working at Kraamcentrum Echt since 2013 and have landed in a warm nest where I practise my profession with great passion and pleasure.
Because how wonderful it is to be able to accompany and care for a family in the first week of life with their baby.
Who knows, maybe I will join you and together we will make it a beautiful but certainly cosy week.
Until then, love Esther.
Angeline
Hello there!
I’m Angeline, married to Bert, and together we have two fantastic boys: Niek and Daan. In my spare time, I like to go out for a nice walk or dive into a good book. And camping? That is our greatest passion – tent in the car and go!
With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, I feel right at home at Kraamcentrum Echt, where I have been working since 2014. It feels like a warm nest here, with a team full of sociable girls. What more could you want?
For me, there is nothing better than being able to spoil and guide a new family in that special first week. My mission? That after 8 days you are completely ready to face parenthood with confidence. That feeling, that I get to contribute to that, is simply fantastic!
Caring really is in my heart and soul – and I look forward to sharing that with you!
Love,
Angeline
Linda
Hi hi!
I’m Linda, born in 1986 in Sittard and now living with my husband and our two kids – Timo (2018) and Noé (2021) – in Neeroeteren, Belgium. Besides my family, I am also a huge animal lover, so our home is always busy!
I have been working at Kraamcentrum Echt since 2015, and I really do my job with heart and soul. What I love most about my job is supporting, pampering and advising brand-new parents in those first, special days after the birth of their little miracle.
Since April 2022, I have been working with my wonderful duo partner Maartje. One day you are with Maartje, the next day with me – this way we can combine this wonderful profession with our own young families. Together we make sure you feel well supported and can start parenthood with peace of mind.
Lots of love,
Linda
Maartje
Hi hi!
I am Maartje , born in 1988 and I live in cosy Montfort. Since 2016, I have enjoyed working at Kraamcentrum Echt. It really is something special to be part of such a special period in a family’s life, just after the birth of their little one.
Besides my work as a maternity nurse, I am partner to my lovely boyfriend and also mum to Mats (2021) and we are super excited because at the end of January 2025, baby number 2 will arrive! So our home is nice and busy, but I love combining everything.
My work consists of caring for and checking on mother and child, and guiding the family so they can continue caring for their baby confidently after the maternity period. It is always such an honour for me to support families and get them ready for the adventures to come. And so I do this together with my duo partner Linda, we complement each other very well!
Let’s make it an unforgettable maternity week together!
Lots of love,
Maartje
Hanny
Hi!
My name is Hanny and I have been working in maternity care since 1981. Over the years, I did change jobs, but it always kept itching to get back to work as a maternity nurse. And fortunately, since 1 July 2015, I have been back in full force, this time at Kraamcentrum Echt!
What a great organisation this is, with super nice colleagues! I do my job with great pleasure and enthusiasm, and it always remains special for me to be able to help, pamper and support families in that first week after the birth of their baby. My goal is always to prepare them as well as possible, so that afterwards they can confidently continue on their own.
That feeling of satisfaction when everything goes well is what I do it for!
See you soon!
Greetings,
Hanny
Nancy
Hello!
I’m Nancy, and since December 2007 I have been working as a maternity nurse with a lot of passion and pleasure. In May 2016, I made the switch to my wonderful new colleagues at Kraamcentrum Echt e.o., and I must say: I like it super! I really enjoy it here immensely. I have also successfully completed the ‘Natural Maternity Care’ course!
I am married to Frans and proud mum of three children: Niels, Lonneke and Noortje. And yes, I can only agree: it’s great to be a mum, especially of twins! Always double the fun and a bit of chaos – lovely!
In my spare time I like to read (a lot!), fiddle around with crocheting and knitting, and cook and bake with a lot of love (and sometimes a bit too much, but who can resist the temptation?).
What I love about this profession is that no family, situation, week or day is the same. Every day is a surprise – and sometimes even a challenge – to discover what goes on behind that front door. But the best moment? At the end of the maternity week, closing that same door behind you and knowing that you have left a family with beautiful memories of a special week.
Kind regards,
Nancy
Edith
My name is Edith, born in Echt and currently living in Roermond. After completing my studies in 1991, I immediately started working as a maternity nurse.
On 1 November 2016, I made the switch to Kraamcentrum Echt because I was looking for a young, friendly and personal organisation that suits me well.
For me, maternity care is an incredibly beautiful, special and rewarding profession. It remains an honour to support and guide families through the birth of their baby. It is so special to be part of that and to experience these moments together with parents.
I have also completed the ‘Natural Maternity Care’ training, which has further deepened my knowledge and skills in this field.
Perhaps I will see you soon,
Love, Edith
Mirjam
Hi hi!
I am Mirjam, mother of two sons and now also proud grandmother of four wonderful granddaughters.
With a lot of passion and pleasure I work full-time as a maternity nurse and trainee supervisor at the nicest maternity centre in Limburg! Every day is a party, and I am always ready to support families in that special first maternity week.
Oh, and when it’s “Carnaval”, I’m in my element! Then you can find me in my finest costume, because “Carnaval” really is my great love. 🎉
Who knows, I might soon be on your doorstep to make your maternity week an unforgettable time!
Greetings,
Mir.
Deanne
Hello, my name is Deanne. I live in Hoensbroek together with my lovely daughter.
I never thought I would ever become a maternity nurse, but after the loving care I received after the birth of my daughter, I started looking at this wonderful profession with completely different eyes. It made me realise where my passion lies: supporting families during a special period of their lives.
I now enjoy working as a maternity nurse. It is important to me to offer new parents a nice, relaxing week in which they can fully enjoy their family and this special time.
Lots of love,
Deanne
Nancy
Hi!
My name is Nancy, born in 1970, married and proud mother of a daughter and a son.
I have been working in maternity care with great passion and pleasure since 1993. Meanwhile, I no longer work in the maternity week itself, but as an intaker. If you are around 30 weeks pregnant, chances are that I will come to your home (or over the phone) to prepare you properly for the maternity care and answer all your questions.
What I love about our work? Every family is different, which makes the work super varied and fascinating! Since May 2017, I have enjoyed being part of the team at Kraamcentrum Echt, a nice and cosy agency where I feel completely at home.
Besides my work, I also love travelling. Whether it’s a cruise here or there, I’m always up for an adventure! 🌍🚢
Who knows, see you soon!
Greetings,
Nancy
Joyce
Hi hi!
I’m Joyce!!! After years of working in a totally different branch, I decided to make a career switch. And how glad I am that I took that step! Maternity care is like a warm bath for me – what a great profession to be able to help and guide families in such a special new phase of their lives.
Besides my work as a maternity nurse, I am also a babywearing consultant, so if you are curious about how to carry your baby closest to you, I can help you with that too! It’s always so nice to give parents that extra support.
Who knows, see you soon, maybe with your little one!
Love,
Joyce
Charita
Hello, I am Charita! Married and mother of two amazing children, Aaron and Evelien, who have made us shine every day since 2008.
Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to become a maternity nurse. And on 2 July 2002, the time had come: I got my diploma and started work at 19! It is still a privilege to accompany brand-new families in that very first week full of new discoveries and love. Especially the home births I get to help with are really the icing on the cake for me!
I’ve enjoyed being part of this amazing team since 2016, and I hope to make special memories together with you soon!
Love,
Charita
Anja
Hello everyone!
I am Anja, born in 1970, married to Marc, and proud mum of three children. Besides my work, I can often be found outside for long walks with our dog and I enjoy playing the flute at the wind band-always good for some happy sounds.
Now that the children are bigger and I have a bit more time again, I have dipped back into my old profession and passion at Kraamcentrum Echt since 2017. There’s nothing better than being able to share those first days with brand-new parents and their little one, pampering them wonderfully and giving some useful tips here and there!
Love,
Anja
Maril
Hi all!
I am Maril, happily married and proud mother of a daughter and a son. And as icing on the cake, I am grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters!
Becoming a maternity nurse used to be a dream, but life went a little differently than planned. So I worked at the Ministry of Agriculture for 15 years and my husband and I ran our own business for 23 years with a lot of love. But those itches for maternity care remained…. So when I got the opportunity to start working at Kraamcentrum Echt, I naturally grabbed it with both hands!
Oh, and on top of that, I am also a breastfeeding coach. So whether you want tips on the best feeding position or just need a listening ear when things are a bit tough!
I am really looking forward to accompanying you and making it a maternity time together that you will look back on with a big smile.
Love,
Maril
Saskia
Hi, I’m Saskia! Married to Marc, and together we have the happiness of two beautiful daughters who complete our family.
As a maternity nurse, I have been on the road for many years now, and I still do this work with heart and soul. There is just something magical about those first days with a new family in the house. It is a privilege for me to support, advise and offer a listening ear during this special, sometimes exciting period. My goal? To give you a maternity period you will always remember with a smile!
So who knows, maybe see you soon! Together, let’s ensure a warm, relaxed beginning for you and the little one.
Love,
Saskia
Katy
Hello, I’m Katy, born and raised in England, and now I enjoy living in Herten with my two sons.
In 2018, I started training as a maternity nurse. I actually only really got to know this wonderful profession when I became a mother myself. The guidance I received then was so valuable that a silent wish arose: one day to become a maternity nurse myself. Now that my boys are at an age where they are a bit more independent, I felt the time had finally come to make my dream come true!
It is very special for me to be able to assist families in their first days with their newborn baby. Every family and every day is unique, and that is what makes this work so beautiful and special.
Who knows, maybe I will soon be allowed to visit your maternity unit and ensure a wonderful start together!
Kind regards,
Katy
Anita
Hello everyone!
I am Anita, happily married for more than 30 years and together with my wonderful partner we have two lovely daughters. And as if that were not enough, we are also the proud grandparents of our adorable granddaughters Juna and Rosa and cool grandson Lux!
In my spare time, I like to be active: playing tennis and skiing with the family are my favourite pastimes. We also love to go on adventures and wonderful trips with good friends. As a result, we have already collected many unforgettable memories!
I completed my training as a nurse in 1989 and, after a few detours, returned to healthcare in 2008. First as a maternity nurse and later as a nurse planner – each step brought new challenges and beautiful moments.
Since January 2018, I have been part of this cosy agency, where, together with my lovely colleagues, I ensure that every maternity week is unforgettable. You might hear me on the phone or meet me in person during an intake interview – I am always ready with a smile!
I wish you a fantastic week full of happiness and beautiful moments.
Kind regards,
Anita
Babette
Hi everyone!
I am Babette, living in cosy central Limburg and proud mum of my son, born in 2011. After years of happily working as a guest parent in Linne, in 2017 I decided to follow my passion even further and become a maternity nurse. Actually, the love for this profession was there since I was little-I always played maternity nurse with my dolls! Now I can finally put that passion to full use by giving brand-new families a warm and unforgettable maternity week on behalf of Kraamcentrum Echt.
Besides being a maternity nurse, I am also a breastfeeding coach. I am hugely passionate about supporting mothers in their breastfeeding journey. Whether you want practical tips, need help finding the right feeding position, or just want a helping hand when things get tough-I am ready to help you in a way that suits you.
With much love and attention, I listen to your wishes and do my utmost to make the maternity period a warm, pleasant time that you can look back on with a smile. I hope to join you soon and create a wonderful start together!
Kind regards,
Babette
Margo
Hi!
I’m Margo, and I live with Harrie in cosy Susteren. I have a daughter and a son, as well as three fantastic bonus sons. Although they have all flown out, we always love it when one comes to stay with us!
Since September 2024, I have also gained the title of ‘grandmother’ to our dear grandson Leo. What joy he brings with him-real enjoyment with a capital G!
In my spare time, Harry and I often go out with our cameras, because photography is really our greatest passion. From beautiful landscapes to spontaneous snapshots, we love to capture it all.
I have been working in maternity care since 1985. After my internal training in Berkel-Enschot, I enjoyed working as a maternity assistant in Eindhoven for 20 years. When, unfortunately, I could no longer do that work, I found my niche in planning maternity care. Every day puzzling to get everything in place-sometimes with 10 pieces, but often with up to 1000 pieces! No two days are the same, and that’s what makes the work so fun and challenging.
I feel right at home here and hope to enjoy working here for a long time to come. We hear each other!
Kind regards,
Margo
Petra
Hi!
My name is Petra, born in 1977. I am married to Johan and have two wonderful daughters who are getting a bit older now. Now that they are increasingly independent, I thought it was time to do something for myself. When the opportunity came along to work at Kraamcentrum Echt and learn the trade, I grabbed it with both hands – and never regretted it for a second!
Being a maternity assistant is fantastic. No two days are the same: every family has its own unique wishes, questions and moments of wonder. And that is precisely what makes it so beautiful. What remains is the goal that is always central: to provide families with a warm and unforgettable maternity period, full of support, sociability and lots of love. That I can contribute to this feels like a gift.
I look forward to meeting you and making it a special start together!
Love,
Petra
Melanie
Hey!
I am Melanie, and since March 2020 I have been working at Kraamcentrum Echt with a lot of love and pleasure. I feel completely at home here!
In my spare time, I like to be surrounded by my partner, friends and family, because sociability is paramount to me! Sitting still? That’s nothing for me! Whether it is an evening playing games or being creative with a fun hobby, I love to be busy.
This wonderful profession never ceases to surprise me. The variety, the special moments and the chance to accompany brand-new parents in their maternity week make every day special. It is also so nice to be able to support in childbirth or to help parents with their smallest family member. And yes, when big brothers or sisters are already running around, it often becomes even cozier!
I look forward to experiencing a beautiful, warm maternity week together with you.
Lots of love,
-xxx- Melanie
Tanja
Allow me to introduce myself.
I am Tanja, living in Geleen together with my husband. Since 2022, we can proudly call ourselves grandparents and we are the proud grandparents of two lovely sweethearts.
I enjoyed working as a teacher for almost 30 years. In early 2022, I decided to change course and began my search for a new challenge. Around the same time, my daughter gave birth to her first child. An extraordinary experience, which inspired me in an unexpected way.
During maternity week, I met the maternity assistant of Kraamcentrum Echt. While I was fully enjoying my role as grandmother, she noticed how naturally I was doing with my grandson. She planted an idea in my head: why not work in maternity care? After a trial day and a nice conversation in the office, the choice was quickly made. Kraamcentrum Echt offered me the chance to develop in this wonderful profession, and I am incredibly grateful for that.
Now I enjoy my work every day. How special is it to see new life come into the world? During maternity week, I am happy to share my knowledge, help you with love and pamper you with pleasure.
Love,
Tanja
Steffie
Hi hi!
I’m Steffie, and I live with Ralf and our two children in cosy Swalmen.
Although I completed my training as a maternity nurse many years ago, I ended up staying in elderly care and childcare. Yet my heart always remained with the little ones, which is why I decided to change course. Since 2023, I have enjoyed working in the office in maternity care.
As a planner and intaker, I enjoy the variety and especially the contact with parents-to-be. It is so special to be a small part of this special period in your life!
Who knows, we might speak on the phone or during a home visit soon.
Love,
Steffie
Cheyenna
Hi hi!
I’m Cheyenna, born in 2004, and since September 2023 I started my training in Nursing IG. During my internship at Kraamcentrum Echt, I discovered how great the work in maternity care is. Those five weeks felt so good that I decided to transfer to the Birth Care Academy to focus fully on this wonderful profession. The combination of care, personal attention and guiding young families suits me perfectly. At Maternity Centre Echt, I feel completely at home!
I was born and raised in Sittard and have been living with my mother, brother and our four cats in Einighausen since 2016. My passion really lies in caring and working with people, especially young families. This motivates me to further develop myself in birth care. It is so special to be able to contribute to one of the most beautiful moments in a family’s life: the arrival of a baby.
I am really looking forward to doing my bit for the well-being of both mothers and their newborns!
Love,
Cheyenna
Rachel
Hello (prospective) parents,
My name is Rachel and I live in cosy Echt.
During my Caregiver IG training, I consciously chose the field of maternity care in the final year, because that’s where my passion lies 🥰. Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to work with babies, and it’s great that this dream has now come true!
What appeals to me most? Guiding and supporting parents in that special first week of their (new) parenthood. And of course, I don’t forget the older siblings – they belong just as much!
I will also soon be supervising trainees, something I am really looking forward to. It is so nice to be able to pass on my love for this profession and to inspire others in it.
I hope to meet you soon. Together we will make it a cosy, fun and above all unforgettable maternity week!
Love,
Rachel
Severine
Hi, my name is Severine.
Together with my daughter and our little dogs, I live in beautiful Maasbracht. Since 2022, I have been part of the cosy team at Kraamcentrum Echt, and how happy I am about that!
After 30 years, I decided it was time for a career switch. Why? Because I wanted to pursue my girlhood dream: working in maternity care! Luckily, Kraamcentrum Echt gave me this great opportunity, and I grabbed it with both hands. And honestly? It feels like coming home. This work is really my passion ❤️.
I love being able to support, pamper and guide families in that special maternity week. The goal? That you look back on a week you’ll never forget with a smile and tons of self-confidence. A week in which you enjoy your beautiful family and start making beautiful memories together.
In my spare time, I like to be in the kitchen cooking something delicious for friends, hiking with my daughter and our dogs, and dreaming about the next trip. Sometimes I even venture out for a dance-but only when no one is watching 😉.
Companionship is my number one priority, so hopefully we’ll see each other soon during your maternity week!
Greetings,
Severine
Vivian
Hi!
I am Vivian, married, mum of a son and a daughter and living in Echt. After working an office job for 25 years, I decided to follow my heart and work in the field of babies and childbirth. And that became maternity care!
After a walk-in morning and a nice conversation with Kraamcentrum Echt, I started training at the Birth Care Academy in combination with working in families. The best decision ever!
I love accompanying brand-new parents in the first, so special week, with their baby. My goal is to make sure the parents, as well as siblings, have an enjoyable maternity week, after which the parents can then confidently handle the care for their little one on their own.
Besides obviously loving babies, in my spare time I enjoy sports, reading, walking our dog, and of course spending time with my family.
Should I join you as a maternity nurse, we will make it a very beautiful, pleasant and unforgettable week together! Who knows, see you soon!
Lots of love,
Vivian
Melissa
Dear all,
My name is Melissa. I live with my husband and our two sons in beautiful Elsloo, where I was born and raised.
I am proud to be part of our fantastic team at Kraamcentrum Echt!
Working in maternity care is my passion. This is where I can put my heart and soul. You can meet me during childbirth and/or the week after the birth.
What can you expect from me when I arrive? A friendly, enthusiastic maternity assistant who lovingly answers all your questions, supports you where necessary, and where there is room for a laugh, a tear and a good dose of humour! And of course every now and then I take your sweetheart with me to cuddle.
If, at the end of the week, you say: ‘Melissa, we are ready to confidently continue on our own,’ then my mission is accomplished. With a satisfied feeling and a big smile, I pull the door shut behind me.
Every family is unique and has its own story, and that’s what makes my job so fun and special!
Who knows, see you soon!
Love,
Melissa
Sandy
Hi dear parents,
My name is Sandy and I live with my husband Tim and my two sons Stijn and Ruben in beautiful Guttecoven. In 2023, I decided to take a new path. Besides my work as an independent personal trainer and nutrition coach, I felt the need to mean something extra for people. Through Maternity Centre Echt, I got the chance to retrain as a maternity nurse at the Birth Care Academy. It was a leap of faith, but a choice that turned out very well.
As a maternity nurse, I am at the start of a new life, supporting young parents during one of the most special and challenging periods in their lives. The coaching aspect of my training courses comes naturally to me in my work: I find it important to give parents the right tools and, above all, a lot of self-confidence to get off to a good start with their little one.
What makes this profession so special is the combination of care, guidance and building a personal bond with the family. In doing so, I hope to radiate calmness, which is often very welcome during such an intense period. I also like to add a bit of humour to my work-it can be fun, after all! It’s wonderful to contribute to a healthy and happy start for both baby and parents, with a smile whenever possible ❤️
Love Sandy
Michelle
Hello, I am Michelle, born in 1986 and I live with my family in friendly Sittard. I am mum to my sweet funny Fleur (2013) and my charming and headstrong Lewis (2018).
Ever since I was a young girl, I have been hugely fascinated by babies, pregnancy and birth. Yet I inexplicably chose to study and work within human resources.
During my own maternity weeks, my interest and passion for birth work blossomed more than ever before. Now I knew! ‘This is what I want to do for the rest of my life, this is me!’ When my children were a bit older, at the age of 35 and after a career of 15 years, I finally took the big step to follow my heart and trained as an independent Doula and now as a maternity assistant at Kraamcentrum Echt. Better late than never!
And how happy I am to be part of this great club. The passion, warmth and commitment that we all radiate is something I identify with and am enormously proud of.
‘Although birth is only one day in the life of a woman, it has an imprint on her for the rest of her life’
Justine Caines
This quote encapsulates everything why I chose this work. I myself have experienced the enormous added value of receiving loving and caring support around pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. It marks you for the rest of your life and provides a good start in bonding with your baby so that he or she can grow into a healthy adult. With my caring I like to contribute to this for many beautiful families-to-be.
Who knows, see you soon…in one of the most special periods of your life!
Annika
Hello, I am Annika
I was born in 1973, proud mother of three fantastic boys – Mike, Luke and Vince – and I enjoy living in Echt!
When I was 19, I started working at the Edah in Susteren. What was actually meant to be a gap year from school soon became a longer period. After a few years, I made the switch to Jan Linders, where I enjoyed working for no less than 23 years.
Still, I always had a quiet dream: if I ever changed jobs, I wanted to go into healthcare. But I never knew exactly which direction in healthcare would suit me.
Until one day I got talking to a maternity nurse. She told me about her profession, and it immediately sounded like something for me! After a day of shadowing in maternity care and an inspiring conversation with Rozanne, I knew for sure: I’m going to become a maternity assistant!
Thanks to Kraamcentrum Echt, I got the chance to combine working and learning. My mission? To help parents through a special maternity week with loving care, support and guidance. My goal is that you can look back on this unique time with a big smile.
I am really looking forward to pampering you and making it a wonderful maternity week together!
Love Annika
Brenda
Heey heey,
I’m Brenda, born in 1986. Together with my husband Maurice, daughter Amy and son Job I live in Ohé en Laak.
After my training as a Nurse IG I started working in elder care. When I became a mom myself, I wanted to spend more time with my children and really be there for them. So I quit my job and took over a chip shop with a friend.
When the children became more independent, I was able to return to care – where my ♥️ lies.
Now I get to support new parents in that special first week with their little one. If I can come to you during your maternity week, we will make it a beautiful and enjoyable time together. I will take good care of you, so you can enjoy this special period to the fullest.
See you soon!
Love,
Brenda
Simone
Hi all,
I’m Simone! Originally I am from Venlo, but since this year I have been living together in the cosy town of Swalmen.
After VWO, I started studying nursing, but soon discovered that my heart was in obstetrics. During my studies, I already worked in maternity care, and that turned out to be my cup of tea! So in 2023, I completed the Maternity Care course and got my diploma.
As a maternity nurse, I love guiding (future) parents through this special time with great care and attention. Together we ensure a nice, relaxed start in which you can enjoy your little one to the full.
I am really looking forward to experiencing a wonderful maternity week together!
Kind regards,
Simone
Ellen
Hi there!
I’m Ellen, proud mum of Menno and anxiously counting down to the arrival of our second son in April 2025. My passion for maternity care started when I worked as an Au pair in Florida. It soon became clear to me there: this is my calling!
During my training at the Birth Care Academy, I got the chance to do an internship at Kraamcentrum Echt. From day one it felt like coming home, and if it is up to me, I will stay here for a very long time.
Nothing makes me happier than accompanying families in that special first week after the birth of their baby. Together we make sure they get off to a great start: with peace, clarity and a bit of structure, so that I can say goodbye with a smile and a warm feeling.
Who knows, maybe I’ll see you soon!
Love,
Ellen
Rozanne
Hi!
I’m Rozanne, born in 1986, and I live with Guus and our two children, Xem and Bliss, in cosy Herten.
With a maternity nurse as our sister (Kirsten, the founder of Kraamcentrum Echt), it was no question for us where to go for maternity care. Xem was even the very first ‘Kraamcentrum Echt baby’! How special is that? And what a great experience such a maternity week is!
After giving birth, hormones fly around your head-from fatigue to uncertainty, from a thousand questions to breastfeeding that just won’t work. So how nice is it to have someone who takes away your uncertainty, answers all your questions, takes over your baby for a while so you can take a nap, and makes sure your breastfeeding finally becomes a nice and special moment between you and your little one? But that’s not all! A good maternity nurse signals things, explains things to your partner, involves your other children in the arrival of the new little one and even makes sure your house stays tidy. And best of all? They make that maternity week a celebration!
My maternity week was way too short, and when it was over, I begged them to just stay! 😉
I started working with Kirsten in 2014, helping her with the day-to-day running of Kraamcentrum Echt. What an adventure it is to be part of this amazing team!
I wish you a fantastic pregnancy, a maternity week to remember and lots of happiness!
Love,
Rozanne
Kirsten
Welcome to our website!
I am Kirsten, the proud owner of Kraamcentrum Echt. I am married to Brian, bonus mother of Sharon and together with Brian I have three fantastic children: Tess, Noah and Boaz. And since 2023 bonus grandma of the cutest grandchild Eden. Our home is also home to two happy dogs and I have a couple of horses, as horse riding is one of my biggest hobbies. And although I have a busy family, I also try to make time for myself. Sports are definitely part of that! As soon as winter arrives, I can often be found in the mountains skiing.
My dream of starting Maternity Centre Echt came true in 2010. Since then, together with our great team, I have been committed to providing maternity care that really makes a difference. Personal care and creating a festive maternity week are always central for me. We ensure peace and regularity in the family, so that parents can confidently take over the care of their newborn baby after the week. But we are also there for the whole family, because everyone deserves attention during this special time!
At Kraamcentrum Echt, we work with the latest trends in Birth Care. Whether it’s natural maternity care, sling consultations, first aid courses for parents, the use of the Tens during childbirth, laughing gas or even a home birth in a bath-nothing is too crazy for us!
Within Kraamcentrum Echt I can be found in various places: from the open delivery rooms to the office, from the phone to the families for the maternity week. Whatever I do, I am always there for you with all my heart.
With our great team, I am sure we can give you an unforgettable maternity week!
Kind Regards, Kirsten
